Working Week: Monday to Friday, 8.30 – 5 pm (1 day per week spent in college, day to be determined) Flexible hours may be required, including weekends and evenings, depending business need. 1 hour unpaid lunchbreak per day.
Brief Description

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Building & Maintenance Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to begin a career in the construction and maintenance industry. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, learning a wide range skills.
Training to be Provided
- Apprentice will attend St Helens College (Stem Centre) for a minimum 6 hours per week during term time
- Work towards Maths and English functional skills if required
Future Prospects
- Successful completion may lead to permanent employment

Key Responsibilities -
As a Building & Maintenance Apprentice, your duties will include:
- Assisting with day-to-day building and property maintenance tasks
- Learning and supporting basic trade skills including: Carpentry and joinery, Plumbing repairs, Plastering and patch repairs, Painting and decorating
- Carrying out minor repairs and refurbishment works
- Supporting planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Safely using tools, equipment, and materials under supervision
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
- Attending college or training sessions as required
completing all coursework, assessments, and apprenticeship requirements - Providing good customer service when working in occupied properties
Other Information
- A full or provisional UK driving licence
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in the construction or maintenance sector
- An interest in Museums and Art Galleries, and a desire to help create opportunities for visitors and the local community to engage with The World of Glass.
