Brief Description
Feltwell Surgery is looking to welcome an apprentice dispenser into our busy practice on either a full time or part time basis. The applicant will play a full and active role as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team.
Training to be Provided
- The learner will be studying the Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Future Prospects
Potential for development for the right person in future ie Pharmacy Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription.
- Maintaining full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions.
- Operating efficient stock control, appropriate to the needs of the practice with the objective of ensuring continuity of supply for patients and minimising wastage through out-of-date stock.
- Dealing with patient queries, online and in person and maintaining good customer care.
Other Information
Dealing with the public daily so good manners and customer service skills are required. Involves long periods on your feet. This is a busy environment.
