Brief Description

Implementing the delivery of high-quality care and education to ensure that all children reach their full potential for afterschool and holiday provision. To help provide a safe and secure environment, building relationships with children and families to promote the child’s learning and development and wellbeing.

Training to be Provided


  • Early Years Educator Level 3

  • Training will include paediatric first aid qualification

  • Waltham Forest College - 707 Forest Road, Walthamstow, London, E17 4JB

  • 1 day a week

  • On-site in college

  • Development or Level 3 Play Worker Qualification with a demonstrable successful track record of working in an early years setting

  • Holds a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate

  • Holds a current food hygiene and health and safety certificate

  • You will ensure safeguarding and child protection is prioritised and the safety, health and welfare of children paramount at all times

  • You will have an understanding and knowledge of the current statutory guidance and curriculum framework 

  • Working as part of a team you will need good communication skills, flexibility and reliability

  • You will attend and contribute to regular team meetings

  • You will have to be organised, have good time keeping and able to manage your own workload

  • You will be able to record and share information and communicate confidently to a range of stakeholders using clear and concise written, verbal and IT methods 

  • You will deal with all data and information sensitively and in line with data protection and safeguarding policies and procedures 

  • You are able to demonstrate your ability to differentiate activities to meet the individual needs of all children and will have a passion for promoting inclusion and celebrating diversity  

  • You will understand and implement the charities policies and procedures

  • You will be committed to working with all parents

  • You will engage in continuous professional development
