Brief Description

Looking to work for an award-winning global organisation serving some of the largest brands in the world? AMCOR, a global leader in the Plastics Industry, are looking for Level 2  Apprentices to join their team in Norwich. Working towards a  Certificate in Engineering Operations up to level 3, are you ready to join us?

Training to be Provided


  • The apprentice will commence on a level 2 program as an Engineering Operative and complete units in electrical and mechanical disciplines

  • Once the requirements of level 2 have been achieved, the Apprentice has the opportunity to progress to a level 3 pathway as a Frontline Engineering or a Production Setter 

  • All theoretical and on the job training will be conducted at our Academy in Beccles, or at East Coast College in Lowestoft

  • The apprenticeship will follow national qualification standards and will be delivered in an inclusive environment by the academy, or East Coast College, who are subject to inspections by Ofsted and external verification. This standard requires the candidate to achieve BOTH of the following qualifications:



  • Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, which includes the development knowledge.  Awarding organisation, EAL GLH 750

  • Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations, which includes operational competence. Awarding organisation, EAL

Vacancy Detail


  • You will spend 1 day per week in our Apprentice Academy classroom and workshop in Beccles, or at East Coast College in Lowestoft, where you will learn theoretical and practical skills. For the remaining days you will be working on site in a team practising the skills you have learned at the Academy

  • The apprenticeship program is tailored to the specific needs of our learners and our business. Learning takes place in small groups by our dedicated tutors, allowing you to learn with regular ongoing help and support

  • You will be a member of a team supporting manufacturing machinery, equipment and facilities to ensure continuous production

  • As part of the program, you will have opportunities to visit our other manufacturing sites and grow your skills and network
