Brief Description
Start your career in engineering with an exciting 4-year Apprenticeship based full-time at our Consett site, combining hands-on industry experience with college learning. You will be working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, gaining the knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful engineering career.
Training to be Provided
1 day per week at college, 4 days in the workplace.
Future Prospects
There are opportunities for progression within the role for the right candidates upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. We also offer support with further engineering qualifications such as HNC.
Vacancy Detail
You will learn all aspects of mechanical engineering, including, milling, turning, boring, CNC machining and fitting, as well as how to read engineering drawings.

- Utilising machining practices across both CNC and manual machines.

Other Information
As well as good communication skills, a positive and flexible approach, you’ll need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at 4 or above, including Maths and English Language. A science, engineering or technology qualification would also be advantageous.
