Brief Description
Start your career in dentistry with a full-time Dental Nurse Apprenticeship at Blue Dental Care. Gain hands-on experience while studying towards a recognised qualification. No experience needed- just a positive attitude and willingness to learn in a friendly team.
Training to be Provided
- Training will be provided through Harriet Ellis Training Solutions
- The apprentice will complete their coursework and online portfolio through Harriet Ellis while gaining practical experience within the dental practice
- Training will mainly take place online, with Harriet Ellis assessors regularly visiting the practice to support and assess progress
- Apprentices will also complete exams through Harriet Ellis as part of the qualification
- The apprentice will be given one paid day per week for off-the-job training, study and coursework completion
Future Prospects
- Successful apprentices may be offered a permanent position within the practice as a qualified Dental Nurse upon completion of the apprenticeship
- There may also be opportunities to progress into further training and development within dentistry, including additional dental nursing qualifications and specialist roles
Vacancy Detail
- Assist the dentist during patient treatments
- Prepare and sterilise dental instruments
- Set up and clean treatment rooms
- Support patients before and after appointments
- Maintain high standards of infection control and cleanliness
- Learn how to take and update patient records
- Help with reception and appointment booking duties
- Work closely with dentists, nurses and reception staff as part of the team
- Learn about dental procedures and patient care in a busy practice environment
Other Information
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and will be required to complete a DBS check before starting employment. Successful applicants must also be willing to undergo a Hepatitis B vaccination process before starting work within the dental practice.
