Brief Description
Engineering apprentice role working alongside our engineers to manufacture our range of machinery. The role includes mechanical fitting, electrical wiring, quality checking and testing.
Training to be Provided
Qualifications included:
- Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard. Company Training Plan & Assessment
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Development Knowledge (1 day per week for 2 years at college)
Development Competence Qualification (workplace) - Level 2 Functional Skills - maths (If required)
- Level 2 Functional Skills - English (If required)
- End Point Assessment at the end of the apprenticeship
Future Prospects
- It is anticipated that the successful candidate will progress in to a full-time position at the end of the course
- This would most likely be a field-based Service Engineer position, visiting our customers on a day-to-day basis for repairs and servicing of our machinery
Vacancy Detail
- Our Apprentice Engineer will be an important member of our team, helping to manufacture our range of packaging machinery for the food industry
- The role will include mechanical fitting, electrical wiring, sheet metal work, and pneumatics
- Based in Bicester, the role will also include an amount of working at our customers' sites to install and commission the machinery
- The role is expected to lead to a full time engineering position on completion of the course
Other Information
- As a small company, the candidate will be a vital part of the team. There is a real potential for this position to lead to bigger opportunities within the company.
- Applicants must be 18 or over, as the role involves visiting customer sites.
- Access to a car for travel is preferred, but it is not essential.
As the role progresses, it would be a significant advantage if applicants are able to drive.
