Brief Description
This vacancy is for an Apprentice Engineering Operative
based in Heywood.
Engineering Operatives are predominantly involved in engineering operations which are key to the success of the Manufacturing & Engineering sector.

Vacancy Detail
The Manufacturing Operative Apprentice will support the production team in assembling, inspecting, and packaging products while developing practical manufacturing skills.
This role combines on-the-job training with formal learning, providing the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while working towards a recognised qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the assembly of products in line with work instructions and company procedures
- Carry out basic quality checks under supervision to ensure products meet required standards
- Report any defects, faults, or concerns to the Production Supervisor
- Support the packaging of finished goods for safe storage and dispatch
- Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including the correct use of PPE
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area
- Learn and develop skills across different areas of the production process as part of the apprenticeship programme
