Working Week: 40 Hour week Monday- Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, either 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Brief Description
As an integral member of the depot, you will be supporting the team goal of making a difference by ensuring all vehicles are serviced, repaired and maintained to the highest standard. The successful candidate will also be responsible for carrying out inspections and preparing vehicles to ensure MOT standards are met.
Training to be Provided
2-week block release to Stephenson College, Coalville.
- Functional skills if necessary.
- On-the-job training.
- Off-the-job training.
Future Prospects
Career progression would be to Become full HGV Technician with possibility to work with the refrigeration engineers, do your FGAS certification and work your way into the workshop controller/regional fleet engineer roles with time.
Vacancy Detail
Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Use diagnostic equipment and workshop tools safely
- Complete inspections and MOT preparation
