Brief Description

Wilkinsons Landscapes are one of the North East’s leading landscaping companies, delivering award-winning domestic/commercial landscaping projects across the NE.


We're looking for a motivated Apprentice Landscaper to join us working towards a Level 2 Horticulture/Landscape Apprenticeship in partnership with East Durham College.

Training to be Provided

Training will take place 4 days per week in the workplace, with 1 day release to Houghall Campus once every 2 weeks

Future Prospects

Successful apprentices may have the opportunity to progress into a permanent Landscaper position and continue developing their skills and qualifications within the business.

Vacancy Detail


  • Assist with the construction and maintenance of domestic and commercial landscaping projects

  • Support the installation of paving, fencing, turf, planting and other landscape features

  • Learn safe working practices and follow company Health & Safety procedures

  • Use and maintain landscaping tools and equipment correctly

  • Assist with site preparation, groundworks and material handling

  • Support planting, pruning, mulching and general horticultural tasks

  • Learn to identify plants, weeds and common pests

  • Assist with lawn establishment and maintenance activities

  • Help maintain clean, safe and organised work sites

  • Complete workplace records and apprenticeship portfolio evidence as required

  • Work professionally with colleagues, customers and suppliers

  • Attend college training sessions and complete all apprenticeship coursework.

Other Information


  • Full UK Driving Licence (or working towards obtaining one)
