Brief Description
You will learn all operational functions involved in exporting and importing of different types of cargo to and from global markets - specifically in the Air freight market.
You will also complete the International Freight Forwarder Specialist L3 qualification to support you with the knowledge required for the role.
Training to be Provided
On the job training delivered by the employer.
Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeships English and mathematics minimum requirement is Entry Level 3.
Allocation of an apprenticeship delivery coach who will carry out regular training.
Assessment and support visits to ensure you acquire new learning, knowledge skills and behaviours to progress and develop.
Identify, track and support 6 hours off the job training activities.
Quarterly formal progress review meetings, identifying learning achievements and next steps.

Vacancy Detail
Day to day tasks will include:
- Arranging for air freight shipments to be placed and positioned at specific times
- Booking space on planes for Air Freight shipments
- Creating and modifying required documentation
- Submitting customs entries
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and international agents
- Ensuring invoices (both received and sent) are accurate
- Providing a strong level of customer service throughout
