Working Week: Working days will vary and will include weekends. 8:00am to 4:30pm, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch.
Brief Description
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident and competent around horses and has a genuine passion for riding and horse care. The successful candidate will gain practical experience while working towards their Equine Groom qualification as an apprentice.
Training to be Provided
- You will be working towards the Level 2 Equine apprenticeship qualification, and all training will be provided on-site during your paid working hours
- Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach
Future Prospects
On successful completion of the Level 2 Groom Apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress onto a level 3 qualification and/or move into full-time employment for the right candidate.
Vacancy Detail
- Riding and exercising horses to a competent standard
- Feeding, Lunging
- Carrying out daily horse care routines
- Grooming, tacking up and turning horses in and out
- Assisting with exercise and fitness programmes
- Maintaining clean and tidy stables and yard areas
- Carrying out general yard duties
- Ensuring horses are cared for to a high standard
- Following health and safety procedures
- Working as part of the wider yard team
