Working Week: Working 5 days per week, 8:00am - 5:30pm, will include weekend work on a rota basis (Exact working days and hours to be confirmed). You will have a 30 minute morning break and a 1 hour lunch break.
Brief Description
Sebastien Poirier Show Jumper is looking for a passionate and hardworking apprentice to join their professional showjumping yard in Esher. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves horses, has previous horse-handling experience and is keen to develop their riding, horse care and yard skills.
Training to be Provided
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours
Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Future Prospects
- Potential for full-time employment with the company for the right candidate following successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
All general yard duties to include :
- Mucking out / keeping yard area tidy
- Feeding / filling haynets and water buckets
- Turning in and out
- Picking out feet / rugging up
- Grooming / Tacking up
- Tack Cleaning
- Bathing / Show Prep
- Lunging / long reining
- Holding for farrier / vet / dentist
- Riding possible for competent applicant who can walk, trot, canter, Jump
- Possibility of grooming at shows
