Brief Description
As a Chef Apprentice, you’ll work alongside our experienced kitchen team and learn all aspects of working in a busy food environment.
You’ll develop your skills in food preparation, cooking, presentation, food safety and kitchen organisation while helping us deliver the high-quality food The Cheesy Living Co. is known for.
Training to be Provided
This role is working across 30 hours a week, including evenings and weekends. The apprentice will train every Wednesday at Printworks Campus.
Future Prospects
A full-time permanent contract is likely upon completion of the apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
- Preparing and cooking food to our recipes and quality standards
- Learning to use professional kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Preparing ingredients, including chopping, portioning and basic food preparation
- Assisting with food preparation during busy service periods
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Following food safety, allergen and health and safety procedures
- Learning about stock rotation, storage and waste management
- Helping with deliveries and putting stock away correctly
- Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workstation
- Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
- Providing a friendly and professional service to customers when required
- Taking on additional responsibilities as your skills and confidence develop
