Brief Description
This apprenticeship will train you as a Mechanic, and/or a Vehicle Service Technician, repairs and maintains vehicles. Your top duties will include diagnosing vehicle faults, repairing or replacing faulty parts and carrying out periodic maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics: Use computerised diagnostic equipment and manual inspections to identify faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine services (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks) and repair or replace worn parts like brake pads, clutches, and suspension components
- Testing & Compliance: Conduct test drives and safety checks (such as MOT preparations) to confirm roadworthiness
- Customer Service: Explain technical issues and repair options clearly to customers and provide cost estimates
- Record Keeping: Log completed work, parts used, and diagnostic codes
