Brief Description
Commercial Trainee role at Vistry, starting Sept 2026 in our Northern Home Counties region. You’ll support the Surveying & Estimating team, gaining broad commercial experience while training toward a level 4 apprenticeship to develop your skills, knowledge and qualifications.
Training to be Provided
- Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Level 4
- Training will be delivered virtually in the workplace
Future Prospects
On successful completion of the apprenticeship and showing high peformance, trainees can potentially move into assistant roles.

- Apply health and safety issues to all activities
- Demonstrate application of the principles of sustainability
- Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects
- Be able to apply different types of contracts to different situations
- Assist in the selection of and negotiation with specialist contractors for a construction project
- Assist in the measurement and costing of construction works during a project
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, cash flow and cost forecasts for a construction project
- Assist in the collection, collation and storage of relevant data and its analysis
