Working Week: Based in Bury, at our Head Office. Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 5.00pm and Friday, 8.30am - 1.30pm.
Brief Description
We are global, structural steel engineering organisation with our Head Office in Bury and are looking for an apprentice (degree) quantity surveyor. If you are looking to obtain a degree apprenticeship, enjoy the built environment and are great with numbers, maths and enjoy working as part of a team, this could be the role for you.
Training to be Provided
You will attend Salford University on a day release basis, completing your degree over 5 years. You will follow a learning plan in the workplace, supported by a mentor.
Future Prospects
Once qualified, you will become a junior or assistant quantity surveyor or depending on your progress a quantity surveyor or the opportunity to become a project QS.
Vacancy Detail
- Monitor and control the Project Budgets issued to us by our Estimating department for contracts we have won (identify and manage risks and opportunity)
- Read and understand the scope and provision for the project i.e. payment milestones, time bars, variation rules etc
- Manage and value change (variations) with our Client
- Site visits
- Client office meetings
- Internal office works
- Interface with all internal departments
