Training to be Provided
At Shaping Lives, we are dedicated to one mission: helping nurseries like yours nurture future generations through high-quality early childhood education. As a trusted training provider, we specialise in developing skilled, passionate educators who make a meaningful difference in the lives of children aged 0-5. Whether you're looking to enhance your current team's skills or recruit new talent, we’re with you every step of the way.
Upon completion of this 12-month apprenticeship, you will have obtained your Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification.
Future Prospects
There is a possibility of being offered a full-time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
You will gain experience across all three nursery rooms as part of your qualification, although you may be primarily based in one. You will work alongside experienced practitioners who will guide and support you throughout your apprenticeship and employment.
In the Under 2’s room, you will support babies and toddlers in a safe, nurturing environment, assisting with daily care routines and contributing to their early development.
Within the 2-3-year-old room, you will help deliver structured and free-play activities while encouraging independence and social skills.
In the Pre-School room, you will support planned activities in line with the EYFS, helping to prepare children for a smooth transition into primary school.
Day-Day Responsibilities:
- Follow all nursery policies and procedures at all times, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children
- Support the daily running of the setting by tidying and cleaning after activities and mealtimes, maintaining a safe and organised environment
- Set up and clear away indoor and outdoor activities, contributing ideas for engaging learning experiences
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues and parents to ensure clear information sharing and positive relationships
- Work collaboratively with the staff team, taking guidance and support to aid your development
- Keep up to date with coursework set by the training provider and regularly update your manager on your progress
