Working Week: Monday to Friday, between start time, 8:00am and finish time 6:00pm (times may vary).
Brief Description
If you like the outdoors and practical work, see details. As part of a small team, you will carry out routine repairs and maintenance to the highway's electrical works, including cable installation and termination, lantern replacements, fault-finding and repairs, general inspection, and testing installations.
Training to be Provided
- At the end of your apprenticeship, you will be awarded a Level 2 Highways Electrical Apprenticeship
- Level 2 NVQ qualification
- You will be required to travel to college on block release with other apprentices
- Accommodation will be organised for you
Future Prospects
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you may have the opportunity to join a permanent position
- This will be reviewed and based upon performance and the needs of the business at the time
Vacancy Detail
- Maintain highway electrical equipment to a high standard
- Work safely with consideration to the environment, traffic, the general public, the task at hand and other team members in the work area
- Carry out nonelectrical works as required
Other Information
You will learn all the skills necessary for this Highways Maintenance apprenticeship, through a combination of formal training and practical experience. You will work in a team alongside our highly experienced colleagues, and you will benefit from their knowledge and their support on a daily basis. You will be given your PPE.
