Brief Description
Working on a main contractor's site, this Apprenticeship will focus on drylining, installing different drylining systems that form walls & rooms, often used to hide wires & pipes while improving acoustics & creating space for insulation.
Training to be Provided
Interior Systems Installer Level 2.
The apprentice will attend college in Edgware every day for 4 days of every month to receive additional training - so being able to drive will be essential.
Future Prospects
There will be opportunity for full-time employment on successful completion if the apprenticeship.

What is Drylining?
Drylining is the modern way to create the internal structure of a building. It involves installing partitions, wall linings, and ceilings — helping to shape spaces, conceal wiring and pipes, and improve insulation and soundproofing.
You’ll be trained and supported in a wide range of hands-on tasks, including:
- Reading and interpreting site drawings and diagrams
- Installing metal stud partition walls, wall linings and ceiling systems
- Measuring, cutting & fixing plasterboard to timber and metal frameworks
- Taping & jointing plasterboards
- Skimming and sanding surfaces to a professional finish
- Measuring and cutting materials accurately
- Repairing minor plasterboard damage & reinstating walls & ceilings to match existing finishes
- Following health and safety procedures on site
- Carrying out quality assurance checks
