Brief Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years to develop their knowledge and skills whilst working within a friendly and supportive nursery. Candidates who wish to be considered for level 2 are very welcome to apply as well.
Training to be Provided
Apprentices will be allocated a Trainer Assessor and training will be planned and delivered in conjunction with the employer to meet the individual needs of the apprentice. The apprentice will spend 20% of their working hours in off the job activities and training. On the job and off the job training will be delivered in the workplace.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Work alongside parents and other family members and make them feel welcome
- To be involved in out of work activities e.g. staff training courses
- Monitor, identify and evaluate areas of improvement
- Deliver childcare in a way that meets parents' needs and work in partnership with them providing high levels of customer care at all times
- Interact and support children of all age groups as required
- Ensure the highest standard of child safety is always paramount within the nursery
- Complete relevant paperwork associated with the children and nursery requirements
- Provide high quality care and activities for children which recognise both individual and group requirements
Other Information
Level 2 apprenticeships: Apprentices who have not achieved the equivalent of level 2 qualifications in maths and English, will need to achieve level 1 functional skills in these and work towards level 2 functional skills.
Level 3 apprenticeships: Apprentices who have not achieved the equivalent of level 2 in maths and English, must achieve these prior to end point assessment. The role will involve some outdoor play activities.
