Brief Description
Start your childcare career with Aedes Angels Nursery! We’re seeking a Level 3 Apprentice to work 30–40 hours across 4–5 days. Gain hands-on experience, receive mentoring, and work towards a fully funded Level 3 Early Years qualification. Enjoy flexible working, free uniform, clear progression, and a friendly, supportive team environment.
Training to be Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
Future Prospects
Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship, there will be opportunities to progress into a permanent Level 3 Early Years Practitioner role, subject to performance and vacancies. We are committed to supporting staff development and offer clear progression pathways, including opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, develop leadership skills, and progress into senior or room leader roles over time. Ongoing training and professional development will be encouraged to support long-term career growth within the setting.
Vacancy Detail
In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality care and education within the setting, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children. You will take part in daily routines such as mealtimes, sleep times, and personal care, while supporting planned activities and engaging children in play based on their interests. You will also participate in daily health and safety checks to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment and work alongside experienced practitioners to develop your professional practice.
You will assist with Key Person responsibilities under guidance, building secure and trusting relationships with children and contributing to observations and assessments to help track their development and progress. It is essential that you follow safeguarding, health and safety, and whistleblowing policies at all times, reporting any concerns appropriately. You will communicate positively with parents and carers, supporting daily handovers when required, and actively engage in your Level 3 apprenticeship training by completing coursework and assessments on time. Throughout your role, you will demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and teamwork in line with the setting’s values.
