Brief Description
A fantastic opportunity for two motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Roof Tiling Apprentices. You will be learning a skilled trade while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced roofers.
Training to be Provided
- You will attend Stoke on Trent College's Burslem Campus on a block release - 1 week in 5.
- Functional Skills (Maths & English) if required
Future Prospects
After completing the Level 2 Roofer Apprenticeship, for the right candidate, there may be an opportunity for a permanent position within the company.
Vacancy Detail
- Install and repair roof coverings
- Assist with stripping and replacing existing roofs
- Measure and cut materials to fit specific roof designs
- Install underlay, battens, insulation, and ventilation systems
- Work safely at height using appropriate equipment and PPE
- Identify and report roof defects or damage
- Load, unload, and organise tools and materials on site
- Follow technical drawings and supervisor instructions
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Support lead roofers with more complex installations and repairs
Other Information
The positions are within teams whose staff are based in Newcastle-under-Lyme and West Stoke-on-Trent. Transport can be provided with pick-up and drop-off available from your home address, provided you are located within these areas. Alternatively, applicants who drive must be able to travel to these locations for a 7:00 am start.
You will be required to pass the relevant Health and Safety test to obtain a CSCS card.
