Brief Description
William Patten Day Care are giving you an opportunity to develop your career within childcare. Training to be Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

They are looking for an early years apprentice to join their experienced, committed team to work towards a level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.
Role Description
1. To take full part in the day-to-day running of the Daycare.
2. To be responsible as part of a team for the provision of a safe, stimulating environment which promotes the education of the child.
3. To ensure that the Daycare promotes a positive image of the community, by being helpful and responsive to the needs of others.
Main Duties/Responsibilities.
1. To assist in the provision of the daily activities programme, ensuring a wide range of play and learning opportunities reflecting the needs and circumstances of children and taking into account cultural diversity and accessibility.
2. To establish positive relationships with both children and parents.
3. To work, observe, and play with children cooperatively and increase their self-confidence, to work with children in a non-directive manner.
4. To be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
5. To act as a key worker for children, to observe and record information about the child’s development.
6. To develop knowledge through training.
7. To participate in setting out, displaying, clearing away, cleaning, caring for and storing all educational and play equipment.
8. To insure the confidentiality of the staff, parents and children’s information.
9. To undertake any other reasonable duties instructed by the manager or lead on duty.
