Launch your tech career while earning a degree. Join Forter as an Apprentice Software Engineer in London. Spend 20% studying for a BSc (Hons) in Digital & Technology Solutions and 80% working in our SRE team, helping 150+ engineers build scalable, reliable systems.
Training to be Provided
The course will be delivered on a day-release basis each week by Queen Mary University of London. The course will adhere to the following curriculum:

Vacancy Detail
- Assist in maintaining our Kubernetes platform
- Help migrate legacy services to modern containerised environments
- Work with the team to build dashboards and alerting systems
- Help engineers understand how their code performs
- Develop internal tools that make it easier to troubleshoot
- Develop internal tools that make it easier to deploy software
- Participate in pair programming sessions and code reviews
- Attend "blameless post-mortems" to understand why systems fail and how to make them better
Other Information
A-level
Grades ABB at A-Level (including either A-Level Mathematics or Computer Science).
International Baccalaureate (IB)
34 points overall, including 6,6,5 from three Higher Level subjects. Alternatively, 32 points overall including 6,5,5 from three Higher Level subjects including Mathematics or Computer Science.
BTEC
BTEC Computing D*DD (extended diploma), BTEC Information Technology D*DD (extended diploma).
T Level
T Level in Digital Production Design and Development.
Access HE
Access to Higher Education Diploma in Computing. The minimum academic requirement is to achieve 60 credits overall, with 45 credits at Level 3, of which 30 credits must be at Distinction and 15 credits at Merit or higher. Applications are considered on a case by case basis. Due to the high volume of applications, we do not make offers of study purely on the basis of meeting grade requirements. GCSE Mathematics at grade B/5 is required in addition to the Access qualification.
