Brief Description

Little Jigsaw's Children's Day Nursery are looking for 2 new Nursery Assistant Apprentices. You will be studying toward your Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship Level 2.

Vacancy Detail

As a Nursery Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a nurturing early years setting, supporting children aged 0–5 while learning on the job.


You’ll work alongside experienced practitioners, helping to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children can learn and thrive.


Day to Day Responsibilities:



  • Assist with daily care routines including feeding, changing, and toileting

  • Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and rest

  • Help ensure every child feels safe, happy, and valued

  • Support fun, educational activities

  • Assist in delivering the EYFS framework

  • Observe and record children’s development

  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment

  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures

  • Support hygiene routines and risk assessments

  • Work closely with colleagues and managers

  • Build positive relationships with parents/carers

  • Attend training sessions and complete coursework
