Brief Description

The Longridge Nursery are looking for a new Childcare Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship L2 or 3 dependent on prior experience/qualifications.

The successful candidate will work towards either a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner or Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship, depending on their prior experience and qualifications. Full training and support will be provided throughout the apprenticeship.


 


Day-Day Responsibilities:



  • Assist in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0–5 years

  • Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities

  • Help plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities

  • Support children with daily routines such as mealtimes, hygiene, and rest periods

  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion for all children

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment

  • Observe children and contribute to recording their development

  • Work as part of a team to meet the individual needs of children

  • Follow all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety

  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

  • Attend training sessions and complete coursework as required for the apprenticeship
