Brief Description
Kickstart your career with a paid Foundation Apprenticeship in finishing trades. Gain hands-on experience, technical skills, and essential English and maths while working alongside industry professionals. Ideal for young people eager to learn, grow, and advance into further training or employment.
Training to be Provided
- You will attend college training two days per month at Greenlight Safety & Training, where you’ll learn the core skills needed for flooring
- This includes understanding tools, materials and construction methods, as well as developing strong health and safety awareness
- You’ll also build your English and maths skills, gain industry knowledge to support your work on-site, and work towards a recognised qualification with support from experienced tutors
Future Prospects
- After completing this Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship, you can progress onto a Level 2 Floorlayer Apprenticeship, where you’ll build more advanced skills in areas such as carpet, vinyl, wood, and safety flooring
- This can lead to a career as a qualified floorlayer working on a variety of residential and commercial projects, with opportunities to progress into specialist roles, supervision, or self-employment as you gain experience
