Brief Description
Shingler Homes Ltd is a growing, family based Shropshire housebuilder offering a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on IT experience within a supportive business environment.
You'll support the business day-to-day IT with its systems, while working with experienced colleagues who are committed to developing your skills and career.
Training to be Provided
- The apprentice will learn at Shrewsbury College London Road campus for one day per week day-release, with the remaining days of the week on site at Shingler Homes in Myddle
Future Prospects
- Following completion of the apprenticeship role, it is expected that a full time position will be available to the right candidate
Vacancy Detail
- Providing IT support to office and site staff, including setting up laptops, mobile devices, printers, and troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues
- Supporting Microsoft 365 systems including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, helping staff with file storage, access, and everyday use
- Assisting with user account setup, password resets, and device security in line with company procedures
- Maintaining IT equipment records and asset registers, ensuring hardware is correctly logged and updated
- Liaising with external IT support providers when required and escalating more complex technical issues
- Learning and applying best practice in data protection, cyber security, and safe working with IT systems
Other Information
- Ability to travel work location in Myddle
- Ideally at least 1 year study or experience in an IT or computing related subject
